Thank you for letting me know about these folks. I return tomorrow to have the night sights installed that they ordered for my G23. Good price, nice people. I'll let you know how good of a job they do with the installation in a couple of days.

They did a wonderful job on the sight installation. Even filled out the warranty card on the sights. Well everything but my info, of course. They'll get more of my business and my recommendation to anyone that asks.

Coarce there is only 2 real gunshops here. So Its not like I am in Houston.

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

Do you know how much their charge for paperwork is to register one of my AR-15 lowers as an SBR? I've been considering doing that and putting an 11.5" barrel on one of them. I talked to a few class III dealers and they say they just have to do the paperwork, and engrave the info on my existing lower. After they get my $200 tax stamp from the BATFE of course! Also, if you know a price on .223 suppressors from them, I'd like to know that too.

Don't enter into any kind of deal until you can establish whether anyone in your county will sign off. I don't know about Montgomery County, but Harris County (unincorporated, anyway) has a reputation for not approving anything class 3.
There is frequently a dealer at the Pasadena shows that routinely tells customers that it is no problem to get approval.
I have no idea whether they issue refunds when the customer isn't able to gain approval.
If you're just trying to register something you already own, why would you need them at all? Just deal directly with BATFE.

You can always incorporate and get around the CLEO signature needs.

I spoke to an agent from the Houston ATF office last week and he said that the current Sheriff, Tommy Gage, will sign off on the license.
