I just turned off Proximity Notices on my smart phone. The notices are nice but are pretty worthless when they arrive more than 4 hours after being near a 30.06 or 30.07 sign. Today was not the first time this has happened; in fact, I don't think I have ever received a proximity notice in time for me to avoid the business establishment with the sign(s).
Let me know if and when you've corrected this problem. I'd love to turn this feature back on but, for now, it's more of an irritant than a valuable feature.

Not sure since I'm more of a hands/eyes on than a tech guy but, maybe you want to post on Texas3006.com

Re: Delayed Proximity Notices Make Them Pretty Worthless
I have an iPhone and haven't experienced this problem. In fact- I've had just the opposite. My experience is that works too well :) it keeps going off while I'm driving as I pass the offending locations. Overall, I think it's a great app and I use it all the time.
Best advice I was ever given- Don't mess with the dog while he's eatin'.
