TexasCHLforum.com moving to new server
A test migration is being done now and assuming everything goes well, the TexasCHLforum will be moving to a new server tomorrow morning. The plan is to take the current site down at 8:00am tomorrow (Feb. 8th) to do the migration. After testing on the new site is completed, I will point the domain name to the new servers and it will take anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours for you to be able to see the new site. It all depends upon how often your ISP checks for new domain addresses.
This plan is tentative because it depends upon the results of the test migration. If there's a problem, then we can always keep using the current site/host until we get any issues resolved.

Sounds good - we'll try to find something productive to do with ourselves tomorrow morning. Maybe call our state representatives about all the good bills worth supporting in the current session?

I'll quit carrying a gun when they make murder and armed robbery illegal

Charles, what will the IP of the new server be?

Charles,
You might want to lower the TTLs on the DNS record...down to 5 mins or so. It'll help with quicker DNS resolution.
Everyone else, flush your DNS records locally too...
Good luck...migrations are never fun.
