Getting bumped off a lot lately...
I having to log in over and over lately. Losing text that I was about to post, and having to search through posts for the most recent ones because you lose the ability to use the "check posts since last visit" feature.
Anyone else experiencing this problem?
Thanks, Flint.

Greetings--
No problems here getting booted off nor connecting from several locations (home, hotels, dial up ect).
I do however occasionally have to log back in. My guess is that whenever the board's software/server gets restarted, it requires a new login cookie. Annoying, but not critical IMO. I see that happen on several other Forums I participate in with both this and other software packages.

I'm having this exact problem, and it is frustrating. I suspect some browser configuration parameter, but I don't know which one. Do note that I do not automatically log in (when I try that option, it doesn't work for me anyway).flintknapper wrote:I having to log in over and over lately. Just a thought. Have you tried a different browser. If You are running Microsoft. Internet Explorer 7.0 is now available at http://www.microsoft.com and Firefox 2.0 is available at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/I'm having this exact problem, and it is frustrating. Firefox will leave your current browser alone. IE 7.0 will write over you current IE 6.0 install though

I installed firefox and so far, so good. That tells me this is a local problem when it occurs, not a forum problem.Liberty wrote:Just a thought. Have you tried a different browser. Check your book mark - if it has a session ID attached to it, edit that out so that the bookmark just points to the primary URL.GlockenHammer wrote:I'm having this exact problem, and it is frustrating. If you have the forum bookmarked, and the URL looks like this:anygunanywhere wrote:45ACP wrote:

http://www.texasshooting.com/TexasCHL_F ... hp?sid=51106bc8def.... etc.
The "sid=" and the number that follows it is a "session ID". Using such a URL as a bookmark can cause problems.
I use this as my bookmark:
