Can someone explain what the icons on the left of the board index mean? I am talking about the circles under "Topic". Some are blue, some are red, some have scrolling in them, and some have a red star on them. I'm a bit confused. Thanks.

the red ones mean there are new posts that you haven't read yet .
the blue ones are ones with no new posts .
the scrolling ones mean there are more than one page .
the ones with the red star are topics that you have made a post on .

you will also notice the little red square next to some of the circles .
if you click that , you will go directly to the first unread post .

here's a tip ...click "view your posts" or "view active topics" at the top of your screen . its a real time saver .

you don't even know the secret handshake yet .
after you know that ,THEN you'll learn about the "icon"

when you click on that , it takes you to a "special" part of the forum .

Hmmm. I've never really paid that much attention to those over on the left. So, what's the icon shaped like a light bulb or the little green smilie next to one?

The little light bulb is a sticky thread. I dunno about the green smile....I've never seen that.

Stop teasing. The secret icon only shows if you have a CHL badge.
