Certificate Error???
Hello Charles. For some reason my Internet Explorer started warning me of a certificate error when I come to the site through a link on email notifications. It just started a few hours ago. Maybe it is nothing. Wanted to let you know about it... just in case.
I just looked at the error. It is calling it a mismatched website. it says... The certificate presented by this website was issued for another website's address.

Re: Certificate Error???
Weird. It stopped doing it. I wish I knew more about how all this stuff works. Maybe it was some weird glitch on my end. It has never happened before. Sorry to bother you with it.

Re: Certificate Error???
Internet Exploder is notorious for not playing well with a lot of websites/software. I use Firefox exclusively and I have to remind myself to check my websites with IE to make sure they display correctly. Often they don't without extra coding.

Re: Certificate Error???
It is funny you mentioned this. I sent a text to my daughter concerning a situation I was having with a link she sent this morning and she told me to download and try Firefox! Maybe I will give it a shot...Charles L. Cotton wrote:Internet Exploder is notorious for not playing well with a lot of websites/software. Re: Certificate Error???
most likely you followed a link with https protocol rather than http, the server probably is set to use the webhosts certificate and no one dedicated to this domain.
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

Re: Certificate Error???
The certificate is for *.server299.com which shares an IP address with http://www.texaschlforum.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. It is the hosting provider's certificate. I do not see it as being problematic.
