When getting your packet ready to send in, the CHL-6 says to "Place your photographs in a separate, sealed envelope. Write your name on the envelope and include it with your submitted materials."
Do I cut the passport photos apart, or leave them as they came off the printer?
And while I'm asking dumb questions ......... should I put everything in a 9x12 envelope or try to cram it all in a regular legal/letter size envelope?
(I never thought paperwork would cause me this much thought! LOL)
Thanks!

Re: Dumb question about passport photos
I always instruct my students to carefully cut them out. I do this:
1. to eliminate any potential interpretation issues (DPS clerk: "This is not two photographs; it is one photograph with two inked sections.") and
2. so they fit in a small #6-3/4 envelope inside the student's packet.

Re: Dumb question about passport photos
LOL So it sounds like it doesn't matter then!
On one hand, I don't want to cut them "wrong".....on the other hand, I don't want my plastic to get delayed because someone at DPS can't find their scissors!
Thanks, you two! I'm just going to leave them alone, do what the instructions say, and mail everything in a big envelope. Trying to get this in the mail today!

Congrats on completing your application. BTW, it's always easier to cut it later than trying to reattach the fibers on a microscopic level.discoqueen wrote:LOL So it sounds like it doesn't matter then!
