subsilver question

#1

Post by Mike1951 »

The recent discussion about rankings appearing on the member list only in subsilver caused me to take another look.

I don't find subsilver as objectionable now as when it was first introduced, but it's still a change. I don't like any change and it takes great effort to adapt.

My habit is to read 'New Posts', but I always start at the bottom of the last page and read bottom to top. I do this so that any messages updated while I'm reading are waiting for me when I get to the beginning.

It's not a big thing, but why are the only page locators at the bottom of the pages? When I reach the top of the page, I have to return to the bottom to change pages.

Could the page numbers not also appear at the top of the pages?

I agree. Page numbers at top as well as bottom and a "return to top" button at the bottom would be so wonderful.

Every post has a little circle with a triangle in it over on the right. That's a return to top button. (Took me a while to figure that out too.)

In subsilver? I don't see it. Here's a screen shot:

I can't change anything about the themes both because I don't know how to do it and because it would make upgrading a huge pain.

Sorry folks,
Chas.

That's ok. I reverted to Prosilver and will continue to use that.

For my own method of reading posts, subsilver is a step backward.
