Uploading Pics

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but how do I go about posting pics. I know how to upload them but they show up as small attachments. I would like to know how to make them large like on other posts.

The pics that show up larger are probably hosted on other sites, such as Flickr, etc. or on a private page. You can post links to those within the img tags.
