So I see a new box option.

Which one are we going to check?

"I regularly instruct others in the use of handguns and I am applying for the renewal of my License
to Carry a Handgun Instructor Certificate."

or the time tested;

"I am currently certified by the National Rifle Association of America (NRA) as a handgun instructor.
(Please attach a legible copy of your class certification and credentials you received for the
handgun firearm instructor’s training course(s) you have completed.)"

I like options. It makes the deal look sweeter.

Instructions say check one or more. I plan on checking both.

I plan to check multiple boxes as well. The only thing I don't like about the form is that there is an expiration date for every one....even the I regularly instruct others in the use of handguns. Also, if you have been to a recognized school and learned to instruct others, they usually give you a certificate of completion. Most of those don't have an expiration date. NRA certification and state licensing expire, but other things on there don't. Guess I will put N/A for the expiration date on those.

I had not thought of that. I checked both boxes but put 12/17 as the expiration date for 'regularly teaches handgun....', When my LTC instructor permit expires.

I used software to complete the form and it won't let you check more than one box. That had to be set in the DPS pdf form.

I filled out the PDF from DPS online, printed it, signed, scanned and submitted. It allowed me to check 2. I don't see why you couldn't check more than one. I am trained/certified under SAFE out of FL, to. I did not check that. You could be NRA cert and TCLOSE, simultaneously.

I filled out on line got the receipt for credit card But snail Mailed all the CERTS. DPS. NRA & SSI

How long will I have to wait for Confirmation?

I have had a flip Phone for a few years and got on I Net email .

Is it possible to check on the status or confirmation? HOW?

Go back to the same place where you filled out the chl-90. You can see status there.
