I have been waiting for an instructor class since March. The DPS Web site shows they are still waiting for my NRA/Instructor information and background check.
I called a few weeks ago and was told they are doing renewals first and will then open classes for new instructors. I was also told that my application is complete but has not been updated.
Are any of you experiencing long delays as well? This is worse than waiting for my first CHL!!!

Hank, have you uploaded your NRA credentials? If not, you won't be getting an invitation to a class. Also, make very sure they have your correct email address in your profile. Don't assume they do because you get replies to emails you send.

Re: Waiting for a Class....
Thanks for the reply Charles. I confirmed that my NRA certificate was up to date and also that my contact email and information is up to date. I am going to attempt another call this morning to try again.
I will keep you informed of what I learn.

Re: Waiting for a Class....
Don't hold me to this but from your signature it looks like this would be your first (initial) CHL Instructor class which takes four days plus range qualifications. Since all currently licensed instructors expire on 12-31-13, DPS is giving Instructor renewal classes priority. There may not be an initial instructors class until 2014.
