I am Interested in becoming an Instructor:

I just completed and finished my renewal about six months ago. I am interested in teaching Texas CHL classes. I am familliar with the requirements of contacting DPS and getting the packet started, but I am still wondering if this will be a worth wile experience.
I've taught one year of HS and earned a Master of Arts degree in History about four years ago at Sam Houston State University. I currently inspect welds at a steel fabrication plant to put food on the table. I am not successful yet in securing a teaching job at local Junior Colleges, but am still in the market.
My primary interest in teaching CHL is in teaching something to people that I consider very important and am interested in. It is something that I believe would put my beliefs into practice in supporting the 2nd Amendment to our U.S. Consitution.
I am interested in hearing from experienced instructors about what I need to do and to discuss why they elect to teach CHL classes. Thank You
