Yep, as KC5AV said you are certified at the end of the class. As a matter of fact, if you pass the written exam which is given at the end of the day Thursday, and then the range qualification on Friday morning at the DPS range in Florence, they hand the certificates out to you at the range and you are now officially certified.

I'll be in this class too. We got the email Thursday! Can't wait to get it over with after the long wait and be able to finally teach classes. Look forward to meeting everyone as well.

So I noticed something on my letter for the Jan 14-17 class that caught my eye as odd. When it states what equipment you must bring, it states: "A semi-automatic AND a non semi-automatic handgun; Must be at least .38 caliber." Is this just a typo or am I missing something? Shouldn't it read .32 caliber? Or is this something different since it's the instructor course? I'm leaning toward the typo scenario, but I haven't heard back from them about it. I'm bringing my PK380 for the semi and I'll choose the day of whether I use my Ruger Blackhawk single action or Colt Trooper MKIII. I feel I'll be fine using any of the above, but that statement in the letter threw me off.

See y'all there!
