The password I used to order certificates (when they send out physical certificates) ,according to the man who answered the phone at CHL) is not the right one. Consistent with contacts other posters here have received, he said that no chl-90 is necessary but completion of a test IS. I have followed his instructions by e-mailing once again to request the password and any and all information that might be helpful in understanding an completing the process. If a test specific password was given out in my last renewal session (an early one), then I did not get it. I seem to rememember that there was no such password available at that time. It was my impression at the time that they were developing an iron-clad online recertification process that would verify that we were, in fact the individual taking a test and or completing the process BUT they had not done so at that time.

Since my last recertification at the Georgetown facility, I have received no communication from the instructor program at all.

It is not a "test specific" password, but rather the same password that is used to download the CHL-100 forms, and any other "protected" forms or info. The identification is done after access to the test by entering your license number and some other info that I dont remember now. In our case this password was given to us along with the instructors cert.

try emailing Sgt. Bamsch to get the password. He responds pretty quickly in my experience. If you need his email address, PM me.

DPS is really not making this easy at all for any of us , are they??
I've emailed them and as of yet still waiting on answer on some questions.
Granted I know they are getting lots of emails and calls so I will be patient.

Very likely, the confusion associated with these reapplication notices is related to The Hollidays though it does seem like after a month, things should return to normal. From November 1 through the new year, an amazing number of people in both the private and public sector just do not come to work and those who do are overwhelmed trying to do the other fellow's job as well as their own.

I suspect this confusion is all a result of the fact that they haven't determined exactly how renewal will be done this time - class, proficiency demonstration... And someone probably had the half-baked idea "We better at least get the notices mailed while we figure this out," leaving the staff to try to handle this with very little guidance.

They sent the password and it WORKED. The receipt said I got all the test questions right and that it had been transmitted. Now, to see what other requirements might crop up.

Thanks, don't know why I couldn't find it, too early I guess. I was awake enough however to pass 100%, hope there is no deduction for not finding the link on my own. LOL

I did my renewal online, took the test online and mailed in the receipt. Yesterday I received a letter stating my fingerprints they have did not meet their new standards.

So, I have to schedule an appointment with L1 to get new prints. The funny part is the prints from my instructers app 2 years ago were done at L1.

Oh well ...

Truly amazing. I wonder if they ever got L1 straightened out to the point that it's usable.

Ok, is anybody showing anything on their status other than "under review" ?
