Shooting Glasses for qualification day

I have to wear glasses all the time and was wondering , should I get a pair of shooting glasses to wear over my regular prescription glasses when I qualify in the July class? If so, what are some recomendations?

If you wear prescription glasses you'll be OK that's all DPS requires. I shot with my Rx sunglasses.

I shot with my walmart 225 reading glasses.. I brought shooting glasses to put over them and the range safety officer told me that they were not needed..

Make sure you have a shirt with a collar that buttons up tight... I buttoned up and still got a piece of brass down my back and it still hasn't healed. The range safety officer helped me turn my collar to stop any more brass...

I do not get the collard shirt thing, unless you can button the very top button its great for chatchin brass. I tactical high neck tight fitting is better , even a baggy t-shirt work OK as long as you do not have it tucked in. If I was going prone then I heavy mil spec shirt with Velcro, ask me how I know !!!! after laying next to Brian Hoffner while he spewed out round after round of hot brass all over my body. I had burns that took two weeks to heal, thin tactical shirts are OK if you will be standing

Yes you are suppose to button the collar to keep brass out of you shirt. But it did not get mentioned at the rang briefing so I did think to button it

I personally switched to wileyx goggles recently after having hot brass get lodged behind my glasses during a class. They are a bit pricey but well worth the money considering the replacement cost of an eyeball.

You really should have eyepro that is designed to resist fragments and such. You never know.......
