CHL Instructors Needed

Post by txinvestigator »

We are down a couple of instructors. One has a medical condition that is causing her too much joint pain to teach, the other is in the National Guard and has to miss quite a bit.

So heres the deal.

We provide everything. Advertising, scheduling, accepting payments, ordering certificates, fingerprints photos, etc. You show up and teach and get paid a flat rate. You can use your own presentation materials if you like.

We run classes every Saturday; both renewal and initial classes. Renewals run 0900-1400ish, and initials are 0900-2000. (9-2 and 9-8)

Most instructors like to get 1 initial and 1 renewal.

PM me for $$$ details.

Tx - how do you handle certificates? Since I was under the impression that DPS does not allow us to transfer from one instructor to another.... does the instructor order them and you reimburse? Or what?

After I make the schedule for each month I give our bookeeper a list of the number of certs I need for each instructor. That list is based on the number of classes each instructor is scheduled and the max number of students we allow per class. She keeps a signed copy of order forms for each instructor and places the order using those.

We pay for them, you have no out of pocket expense.

Wow, what a resource. We have three new CHL instructors on board now thanks to this forum.

Thanks Charles.

This thread is from last year. I am no longer associated with DFW Gun Range in any form or fashion. I would no longer refer instructors OR students to them.
