Heads Up - New Applications!

#1

Post by Crossfire »

Just got a box of application packages. OK, not packages, but application materials. Do it yourself packages. Anyway, SURPRISE! They are COMPLETELY new and different.

The application is on 2 pages (duplex) instead of 1 folded page. Still no box to check for military discount, although it does say that personal checks are accepted.

The photo card is no longer a card, but a letter size sheet with no place to attach the photo. :confused5

No black fingerprint cards. Both cards are the blue, FBI type.

Be sure to check out your packages before your next class.

I got the suprise while doing a class Saturday. I tell everyone to take out the heavy Photo Holder card and they all look puzzled. It is so nice of our leaders in Austin to keep us posted!

SRVA and I are going to the instructor's class this June. I am hoping that we will get updated info. The CHL law book they sent us was old! So I am not surprised they don't let anyone know when they change anything.

That's exactly how I learned of it this Saturday. Some students had the "old" packets I handed out, and others had the new one without the heavy card stock.

I took all my old packets and removed the cardboard photo cards. I made copies of the new cards and inserted them into the old packets. I like it now that the surprise is over. I don't have to lug felt tips and tape to the classes. I will supply envelopes for the photos though. If they continue with all "blue" fingerprint cards it will make the instructions on filling out info a lot easier. Do it once instead of twice.

Remind me please -
How do you order the student packets as an instructor?
Where do you order the targets?

You can order student packets only when you order TR-100s and in equal numbers. I order my B-27 targets from Law Enforcement Targets, Inc. at http://www.letargets.com/estylez_item.a ... -27S+GREEN" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I get the paper targets, not the cardboard.
