Not sure where I this came from or if its even true but its a good one. I think I would have said the same thing.

Florida's got it right. Bravo for Sheriff Judd!!!

As reported earlier this week, some dirtbag who got pulled over in a routine
traffic stop in Florida ended up "executing" the deputy who
stopped him. The deputy was shot eight times, including once behind his
right ear at close range.. Another deputy was wounded and a police dog
killed.

A statewide manhunt ensued. The low-life was found hiding in a wooded area
with his gun. SWAT team officers fired and hit the guy 68
times.

Now here's the kicker:
Naturally, the media asked why they shot him 68 times.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, told the Orlando Sentinel,

"That's all the bullets we had."

I remember watching that on fox during the hunt. BG was found hiding under a fallen tree. Was told to drop the gun, he didn't drop, and when he started to move his hands.......... they lit him up.

The incident was in October 2006. The exact quotation is, “I suspect the only reason 110 rounds was all that was fired was that’s all the ammunition they had.

Here's a story containing the quotation: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15262111/site/newsweek/

Somehow, 110 rounds seems light for a SWAT team.
Not until the next morning did a 10-person SWAT team finally corner him. He was hunkered down under another fallen oak, not far from where he’d killed the deputy. When the cops spotted a gun in Freeland’s hand—Williams’s .45-caliber semiautomatic pistol—they opened fire on him. And plenty of it: 110 bullets in all, 68 of which hit him.
Do the math: 10 officers, 10 magazines with an average of 10 rounds and one in the chamber.

Exactly right. They guy could have had buddies, or they could be called to another incident that minute.
