I was rushing home due to my baby not feeling well and I was stopped on 20 by a state trooper. Very nice man. He never told me my speed, but I guess it was fast enough for him to notice me. I think I was doing 10 - 15 over the posted sign. They change a bunch on that part of the road, so who knows. He told me to have a good night and handed me a warning ticket.
I sincerely thanked him.
Very nice LEO last night

Great!
You didn't describe your side of the interaction for us, but I'm guessing it was rather polite, too? Hands on the wheel? Up front about CHL?

Every time I get stopped, I roll down all my windows, turn on the interior light, and put my hands in plain view.
Re: Very nice LEO last night
It's nice to see these kinds of threads. Typically it's about how someone broke the law, got caught, and is now upset that they have to pay for their mistake.
I've had an overwhelmingly positive experience with LEOs over the years.
Recently I got a flat tire on the way to work (FM road, posted 50mph) and halfway through the tire change a cop pulls up behind me with his lights on. Immediately I thought I was getting cited for something stupid (though I was very safely pulled over into the hard shoulder and halfway into the grass), but was relieved to find out that the state trooper only stopped to offer help, shine some light on me on this pitch black road, to make sure I had as much room to work, and was as safe as possible. He offered assistance, then quickly changed his mind, "But it looks like you know what you're doing and I'd probably just slow you down."
I've been pulled over for speeding (but nothing ridiculous) in notorious speed zones, and have been let off with verbal warnings. I work night shift and leave the hospital at odd hours of the night. Some cops even tell me they officially pulled me over for speeding, but they're really just looking for drunk drivers. They give me a verbal warning and let me on my way.
