My wife got stopped yesterday on 528 for failing to drop from 55 to 45. Leo comes to the window, asks for her dl. She gave him her dl, chl, and INS. He looked it over, asked if she was carrying and where. She said yes, on my hip. He goes to his car, runs her info and comes back to give her a verbal warning for 10 over. I couldn't believe it! Thanks friendswood officer.

I've lived in Friendswood for close to 20 years. I think I've been stopped by FPD twice, maybe three times. Never had them be anything put courteous and professional.

I live in Friendswood also and usually go 10 over the limit and have never been pulled over. 528 can be a racetrack during the rush hour on week days.

I wish Pearland would drop the speed limit going through town to 30, just like Friendswood. Maybe that would keep some of the thugs out of the east side.

I'm not saying this myself, but I've had a couple friendswood officers tell me the blackhawk area can be kind rough at times.

I live on the far east side of Pearland(Dixie Farm @ 518)
All the officer are always talking about the crime on the west side of Pearland,

i live in friendswood too... all i know is 518 dixie farm road area is not good for speeders... i always see cops pulling people over... i was pulled over by a pearland cop for speeding 55 in 35 on dixie farm(stopped at home depot parking lot)... gave me a warning on that but my inspection sticker was like 6months over due so i completey understood him ticketing me for that...also would of raised insurance if i had a speeding ticket....very nice officer...my cousin is a friendswood cop and he tells me he tries to give people breaks when they cooperate BUT lots of times people want to be defensive or rude haha not a good idea... im always 100% respectful and make sure the cop knows he is def. in charge of the situation!!!

The speed changes from 45 to 35 on Dixie Farm in front of my neighborhood,
With the new 4 lane road it's all to easy to do 45 and not notice.
The LEOS are friendly.

It is difficult to guess what this situation actually looks like but I often wonder about situations where a new 4 lane road is zoned so low. Grapevine did this on the road back of the theatres, just off 121 and a lot of folks got citations for it. Now, the road is set to the speed limit that most of those folks got their citations for driving - and there is more traffic and business on it today than when the road was build. Go figure.

It is certainly not the fault of the LEOs. They are just trying to enforce what is posted.

Chas.

P.S. No, I wasn't one that got caught in a situation like this. I'm the one that almost gets run over by the one who are cited.
