Great LEO encounter

I am stunned at the professionalism and friendliness of my DPS encounter yesterday evening 
the speed limit drops from 70 to 60 and i had just turned off cruise and was coasting across the bridge, might have been doing 62
so he turns around and lights me up.
I stop and he waits a LONG time before walking up
as he did i had my wallet out and my right hand supporting me, sort of mid hip on the center console.
he promptly asked me to show him my right hand....duh i wasn't thinking about a weapon, just about the upcoming ticket .
and nope, by fate i didn't have my weapon with me, i was coming home from the VA hospital and its a no no to carry there.
I moved it slowly and he went back to being friendly and let me go with a warning,
i must say he deserves a big attaboy, i was sure i was going to get a citation.
sort of made me feel good
after some no so good leo encounters recently in NM.
