Good First Encounter in College Station

Had a friend come into town this weekend and we decided to take his new (to him) bright yellow 350Z out for a spin. He pulls over and lets me drive, and I run it up through all 6 gears just to see how it shifted.
I get to 6th gear, look down and see I'm going 70, and immediately slow down. We top a hill, and I see the cop car traveling the other direction around the same time I noticed a lovely speed limit sign saying "45". Uh oh.
He turns on his blinker, so I go ahead and slow down to about 30, wait for him to get turned around and pull into a side road. He finally turns on his lights, and pulls in behind me. I wasn't carrying at the time (wearing athletic shorts and it wasn't my car so I didn't want to put it into the glove box). I pull out both licenses and hand them to him. He looks at them both for a while, and finally realizes I handed him a DL and a CHL, not the DLs for both guys in the car. After he realizes that, he asks if I'm carrying, I respond "No sir, I am not".
He simply nods, and goes back to the car to write me up. I got a written warning for 60 in a 45, was told to keep the speed down and be safe, and was sent on my way. All in all, good first encounter even if I wasn't carrying. He was very polite and sure as heck was nice to let me off with a warning.
