So a couple of my friends and I was waiting for a couple friends at the back of the parking lot of Starbucks and Barnes and Nobles by I45.

It was about 9:30 PM and right as our friend pulled in with his bike, a Webster PD cruiser pulled up. The officer came to us and ask us how we are doing. Then he asked us why we are here. We told him we are waiting for a friend. He then asked us that the reason why he was here was because someone called in and that we looked "suspicious" especially when Starbucks is fixing to close. FYI, that particular Starbucks closes at 12:00AM on a Friday night and it's not even 10:00PM yet. So obviously he asked us for all of our IDs.

Correcting my past mistake, I handed him my license and my CHL with the CHL on top. He then asked me if I have it on me, I said yes. He said then that's all he needs to know and gave me back the CHL and kept my drivers license.

He called in each one of our license and then called him the license plate of my friend's bike. While he was doing that he was talking about not even bothering catching up with those bikes if they were blowing by them speeding. lol. Then he saw nothing suspicious was going on and proceed to handed back our license before the dispatcher calls back with our info and drove off.

Overall, a pleasurable experience and somewhat different. He was very politely and friendly. He didn't really make a fuss about us being there and didn't make a fuss about disarming me. I've heard from a lot of people Webster PDs are jerks, but the couple that I've encountered in the past has been courteous to me. At least we know that they are doing their jobs. Thumbs up to those guys.

This is pure speculation, but there have been a series of robberies in that area of Webster and I suspect they are a bit more vigilant than before all this started.

I'm glad it worked out well.

Even though I was NOT a marine...I only took them where they needed to go and do all that marine stuff...

I'm going to sport a "high 'n tight" haircut for the summer...

"Wife Unit" should approve too... ;-)
