As many know, I drive a wrecker. Well saturday night I was haulin one back from Arlington to our yard in E Ft Worth. I was ready for the night to be over and I was going rather fast. Then there was the Red n' Blues.
Me; dome light on window down hands in view with ID/CHL ready
LEO; Can I see your DL and ins please?
ME; (as I hand him my IDs... CHL on top) the Ins is in the glovebox
LEO; Ok no problem. The reason I pulled you over is I clocked you doing 80 in a 60
Me; (didnt give any excuses just a simple) Ok
LEO; (handing back my CHL) I will be back in a minute
LEO returns; Do me a favor and slow it down just a little bit.
ME; Yes Sir....Thank You very much and have a Safe night
I will admit that I completely deserved a ticket. He was very professional and courteous.
I will also add... the company I work for does not tow for the public and we dont have any City Contracts (that usually give you a lot leeway with LEO) . We strictly do Private Property pulls.....apartments and parking lots.
It was a Great interaction and i am THANKFUL the LEO felt kind enough to let me off.
