First Stop EVER by State Trooper

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

"The reason why I said this is because I bet he would have asked me to surrender it for the duration of the stop.

To me, that is soo wrong. I believe it's safest in my holster, but he can abuse it if he claims safety. Argh!"

Most Officers do not want your gun unless you are acting badly. It goes back to the saying "act like a criminal and you will be treated like a criminal". Act like a responsible person who should have a CHL and most but not all of the time you will get a pass. The person stopped always sets the tone of the stop.

I'm still sitting here stunned to find out that a bear actually let you off. State Troopers generally don't play. If you get pulled over, you get a ticket. One of my bosses is friends with a State Trooper, and even he got a ticket when he got pulled over. Lots of people are still surprised that they have to get out of their car and move to the side of the road, but I was told by a few LEOs that the change happened not too long ago.. for the trooper's protection, they ask everyone to step out of their vehicle. [I used to always assume that someone had drugs or stole a car and was getting arrested.. if they were out of their vehicle]!

Good job keeping that gun out of plain view.

Where two discourse, if the one's anger rise, the man who lets the contest fall is wise.
