Wrong. My concern is what I see as the lack of caring by the PD. I'm sure money is their reason for not providing service.

If it's not worth the time for a police officer to write an accident report when it's a few thousand dollars of damage then the logical conclusion is it's really not worth the time for a police officer to write a ticket for speeding or anything else with a penalty less than a few thousand dollars.

Except when they write the ticket the money goes to the city to help pay them. Minor accident, they get nothing. That is why they are trying to wash their hands of as much of that as they can. But I think it is wrong.

No, you were concerned about determining liability and who was going to have to pay. Your small quote here just happened to tag along with OldGringo's.

Wrong again Karnack! Liability was established within 2 hrs of the accident and well before this post ever started. And as I have previously stated a rear end collison on a stopped vehicle is fairly clear. Please try to trust me its not about the liability, it's about the process.
