Stopped in Denton, great interaction with State Trooper
Re: Stopped in Denton, great interaction with State Trooper
...we've got the most balanced, professional LEOs in Texas at all levels that I've seen...I've been here since 84 and have yet to meet one who was out of line...they're a credit to the badge for the most part...and they seem to like us "clingers"...

That's been my experience as well. From Plano, Garland, and Dallas, LEO here over the years have been the utmost as professional LEO's.speedsix wrote:...we've got the most balanced, professional LEOs in Texas at all levels that I've seen...I've been here since 84 and have yet to meet one who was out of line...they're a credit to the badge for the most part...and they seem to like us "clingers"...
Gun control is like stopping drunk driving by making it harder for sober people to drive.

For the most part that's true. I've been pulled over more times than i can count (Younger guy with a Sport Car). I've had no problem with any of the LEOs except for 2. 1 yelled and cussed me out for 20 min. for speeding. (i was movin pretty fast though) The other was an Itasca cop that pulled me over for doing 75 on 35. The speed limit was 70 during the day and 65 at night. the sun was going down, but you could still see it on the horizon, but he still gave me a ticket for 75 in a 65. When i asked about it he replied "it's close enough"speedsix wrote:...we've got the most balanced, professional LEOs in Texas at all levels that I've seen...I've been here since 84 and have yet to meet one who was out of line...they're a credit to the badge for the most part...and they seem to like us "clingers"...

BTW, Are you aware that the "night time" limits are no longer valid after 9/1/2011? Check out the TXDot website.ajwakeboarder wrote:For the most part that's true. That town is the worst speed trap i've ever seen. I see a cop every time i drive through. But most LEOs are very respectful.

Sweet! Thanks for the info Mel! I'm driving down from SA to CC tonight and that extra 5mph helps - even if it's just a little bit. :)
