First LEO Encounter

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

First LEO Encounter

#1

Post by Leroy »

For the first time since getting my CHL in Sept of 09...I was pulled over. It was my own fault for not paying attention. I travel through a notorious speed trap on my way to and from work everyday....anyone that takes Bay Area Blvd through Pasadena into La Porte knows what I am talking about. They hide behind trees or jump out from behind an entrance to a park..depending on which way and what time of day you are traveling. Anyway...cold busted going 50 in a 40. I pulled out my DL and my CHL and told him "my ins. was in my visor.......and I am armed". He didn't even bat an eye when I mentioned I was armed. He never even said one word about the CHL and proceeded to write me a ticket. All in all I would have to say this was a positive LEO encounter and Deferred Dispostion....here I come again.

Sorry you got the ticket, but glad it was a good encounter. I've read a lot of reports like that....thankfully. :txflag:

I had a similar experience in League City. The young lady that pulled me over didn't miss a beat when I told her I was armed. I posted the encounter here:
