First LEO stop after receiving my CHL was good
First LEO stop after receiving my CHL was good
Two weeks ago I drove 2800 miles through Texas, New Mexico and Colorado and about 40 miles through Oklahoma on 287. About 26 miles after crossing into Oklahoma after leaving Colorado I was pulled over by a sherrif for doing 73 - 65. I showed him my license , insurance and CHL. He asked me if I was carring and I said yes. He asked where it was and I told him it was in a fanny pack on the floorboard. He asked where I was going and I told him I was going home after watching my son play football in Silver City NM and again the next weekend in Boulder Co. He made the comment, going from the cool to the hot. I answered yes sir. He said I am going to go back to my car and write you a warning ticket. He came back had me sign the ticket and told me to have a safe trip. I told him thank you and he left. I don't know if the CHL had anything to do with the warning or not. He was very nice and very professional. Never said anything else about the gun. All in all a very positive stop.

Kudos to the Officer from OK. They can be pretty tough. Sound like it was professional through and through. I'm glad it worked out for YOU!
