So, had a wee fender bender this a.m. Dude cut me off, clipped mah truck.
regardless, stopped to get info, and file accident report. Denton PD came out to handle the paperwork, and I had a great experience with the officer. very professional, discounted my CHL without a word, and simply handed it back to me.
After it was all said done, I would commend the the Denton Officer for his professionalism, and discretion.
the other driver was a water-brain boxer/mma toughguy, and I'm sure if my CHL-ness had come out, it would have turned into an issue, or be seen as a challenge.
anybody who has a licence plate holder that says, and I quote "I'd rather be... Choking you out" is bragging about his "fighting skills..."
anyway, pontifications aside, the DPD Officer was great, and I hope to have an oppurtunity to tell him, and/or his supervisor, my thanks.

Re: Accident in Denton
Certainly send a letter to his supervisor about your experience with the officer. Many times you can go to the departments website for contact information and just drop them an e-mail. Far too often these good encounters go unnoticed and unreported. You just might make someones day with an 'At-A-Boy'! Glad to hear everything turned out ok and no one was hurt.

Re: Accident in Denton
Glad to hear of your good encounter and that all survived relatively unscathed (except the truck).
The officer's attitude was probably influenced by your clean-cut, choir boy appearance.![Wink ;-)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: Accident in Denton
I know quite a bit about martial arts;mma;whatever. my perception was based more on his demeanor, and "OOOOOH LOOK AT ME I CHOKES THE PEOPLES OUTS" than any broad brush.RiveraRa wrote:There are a few bad apples in every bunch. Dont discount all MMA/BJJ guys.
also a little commentary on the "AH GOTS A GUNSES" bumper stickers (although the NRA ones don't qualify under that "rule")
LLW: At least I was wearing my scrubs. Always tend to get treated a little better in Tha Scrubses. Most LEO's prolly figure if their career's long enough, they'll see me in some capacity
