Re: First LEO contact with CHL - GOOD
I've started to keep mine in the driver-side door pocket. That way, I don't have to reach for anything that may put the LEO on alert. Also doesn't allow him to see what's inside my glove box.
Keep calm and carry.

And if you left your phone on the shopping cart at HEB like Mr. Stupid has been known to do, and drive all the way home without it, and be unable to retrieve it until the next day? Then what?MONGOOSE wrote:I can pull up my ID card on my phone.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Drive very carefully.

When I got stopped in Haltom City I showed my CHL and told him I was armed, he just said, "Don't pull yours and I won't pull mine!" Then he wanted to know what kind of gun I had and all that.

That's the kind of response I would hope to get. Sounds like a nice LEO!Nortex wrote:When I got stopped in Haltom City I showed my CHL and told him I was armed, he just said, "Don't pull yours and I won't pull mine!" Then he wanted to know what kind of gun I had and all that.

Yeah, he was alright. Coulda gave me more tickets than he did. I was road testing a van I had built the tranny on, and was going 50 in a 35 feeder road. I told him what I was doing and he said, Ya know, I catch more mechanics like that!
