HB 1149 - Simplifying LTC Eligibility

Simplifies LTC eligibility to prohibit only those who are not eligible to possess a firearm under state or federal law.

No more Class A/B waiting period or other confusing eligibility requirements relating to convictions in other states.

Also reduces when your LTC can be suspended to ONLY take place after you are convicted of a federal or state offense that renders you ineligible to possess a firearm, or if you forget to update your address (30-day suspension).

I'm not optimistic about getting much pro-gun legislation passed this session but I like this bill. I'm sure others will come along and tell me why I shouldn't but I see it as a good step in the right direction.

Also, I have not read the bill yet. Just basing my initial thoughts on the description provided.
