I'm not fluent in the Health and Safety code, but it looks to me like it adds another reason to have your firearm returned to you if you were subject to a mental health check.

How is "Mental Health Check" defined? Talking to a psychologist or psychiatrist? Actual overnight examination?

This is a good bill. It provides a way for Leo agencies to return firms seized when taking a person into custody on a mental health warrant.
