School marshals may carry a concealed handgun on or about their person and cannot be forced by regulations to store the handgun in a locked and secured safe or other location while on duty.

School marshals, keep your firearm hidden and close.

I’d like to see the program opened up to volunteers as well. Requiring an umbrella policy, additional insurance or even a liability waiver would be acceptable.
