It's not the Governor's call. Nor the Attorney General. They have no authority to arrest members who flee the state. This is 100% on the Speaker of the House.powerboatr wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 2:39 pmyup our governor and repubs are all hat and no cattle. why cant they pull their collective heads out of the sand and play just as crappy as democrats

One down, where are the other 56 warrants? I wouldn't want anyone accusing the House of playing favorites, or in this case, racism.Syntyr wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 3:37 pm Finally but too little too late...

Oh it's even worse than that - this guy was in LEADERSHIP. Phelan gave him the CHAIR of the Urban Affairs committee.rtschl wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 10:58 am So one of the fleeing Democrats, Philip Cortez, returned to Texas to "improve the bill" and had direct talks with Republican leadership - and then went back to DC.
Why wasn't he arrested when he arrived and why wasn't he arrested before he could leave Texas again? Seems our Republican leaders ican talk a great game, but do nothing.
This is how these people repay good faith "bipartisanship" and I for one am FED UP with it.
