And that's it in a nutshell. Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) are merely upset because his firing didn't happen when it was most convenient to them. I'm not Trump's biggest fan, but in my entire adult life, I've never seen the MSM (AKA the DNC Media Dept) as hostile to a sitting president as they are to this one. They go out of their way to try and demonize him. Heck, they treated Richard Nixon better than they treat Trump. They don't care about Comey. He's just the cudgel they're using on Trump at this moment. Two weeks from now, it will be something else. They're like the Taliban in that they are insatiable and implacable. So I take the left's whining over this with about a boulder of salt.

Thanks for the correction - I missed that - but McCabe had some other interesting things to say about Comey and the investigation.

As someone noted earlier, Comey managed to annoy both parties and so deserves some credit for being unbiased. More recently the president had praised him. Apparently Comey would not profess loyalty (but did promise honesty) to the president and Comey wanted to ramp up the Russia investifation. The president et al would like to see the investigation done so why not expedite it? There's certainly no stopping it now. Seems like getting the Russian questions answered sooner and getting on with health care, tax reform, infrastructure, etc. is best for the country.

After seeing Comey's interview from 2014 on 60 Minutes today, I must admit my respect for him has improved. In case you missed it, see
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/james-comey ... 0-minutes/

Then there's GOP Intelligence Committe Chairman Richard Burr: http://www.politico.com/story/2017/05/1 ... ard-238275 'Ethical, upright, straightforward' We don't have many around like that.

Sure would like to hear those tapes of Comey and the president.
Your absolutely right, you don't get it.
Just some guy's opinion.

Have you ever considered watching the actual hearings as they happen rather than rely on the biased liberal media as your source?

McCabe said several things that contradicted what the administration has said. We also need to keep in mind McCabe's political predisposition and his close ties to Hillary and the democrat party through his wife. I have know doubt McCabe likes and respects Comey and believes he has side support as that fits the latest democrat narrative.

All this nonsense over firing of someone employed at-will, deemed as incompetent and inept to lead by several former AG's / Deputy AG's from both side of thieving isle...you'd think it's all over some mysterious multi-billion dollar under radar payment to Iran or something like that...

But no, Comey...yea, Comey fired. Now that's an outrage!!!! I demand a special prosecutor!!!! To do what??? To investigate what??? Hamburgers...hot dogs and such. I also like stir fry a lot, it's really good with peanut sauce.

Or maybe it's the Russians??? :headscratch

Don't forget the conspiracy of all conspiracies, Trump was served 2 scoops of ice cream while the others received 1. According to CNN, that is the real story we should all be outraged over.

I think this is the most vicious the press has ever been towards a president. People need to develop a filter when gathering information and developing their opinions. Solely relying on the biased left wing media is not prudent.

I bet the scoops were Russian...even worse, the ice cream itself might have been from Russia.

Yes, I demand special prosecutor for the ice cream-gate! :waiting:

I think this whole thing is hilarious. Every left wing idiot in the house and senate, wanted Comey's head on a platter after the election, because he "caused" HRC to lose. I defy any of them to find one voter who changed their vote because of the email scandal. They all, including Chunky " watch me cry on cue" Schumer, and Nancy "we cant work with Bush" Pelosi, said he was incompetent, and was colluding with Trump to deny the Russian involvement.

Now, Comey is the savior of the progressive movement, and Trump fired him to stop the Russian investigation? "rlol"

Trump is a genius, he has the left looking even more stupid, than they already did. All the while he is cruising through, fulfilling his campaign promises, nominating lower court justices, and making the MSM jump through hoops to try to keep up with being outraged.

Was just perusing the news, and saw this. It illustrates exactly how demented the left is. Plus it's funny! :biggrinjester:

Further example why one can't rely on the biased left-wing media as a source.

According to wapo, Trump did bad based on unnamed sources.

Name source with first hand knowledge rebutting the WAPO story.

Article discussing the likely real source of the fake news.
