The SEC has regulations requiring financial reporters to reveal if they have an interest in the subject of their report. This is so that readers can be forewarned that the reporting maybe influenced by the reporter’s self interest in the subject.
I think there should be a similar requirement for political reporters. They should be required to divulge their personal party afficilation and voting habits whenever they are reporting on a political topic. That way the news consumer can judge for themselves if the reportage is biased by the reporter’s personal vested interest in the topic.

That makes sense, therefore it is logical. It will never happen, it is not in the best interest of the liberal politicians. The Annoyed Man wrote:The SEC has regulations requiring financial reporters to reveal if they have an interest in the subject of their report.
