TX: Two burglars killed, one "injured" in Austin

I was looking at something else on the Austin Stateman website when I noticed a small headline at the very top "Two Killed, One Injured in northeast Austin break-in". I've noticed that initial reports of what appear to be self-defense incidents often do not mention self-defense in anyway, just "One killed in robbery" or some such and only upon reading do you find out the clerk bagged a robber.

Police still investigating, and it could turn out differently, but sure sounds like a legit home SD situation at first pass.

Possibly all three suspects were hit, as two were DOS and one taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.Investigators determined that three suspects entered an apartment at the Creekside on Parmer Lane complex around 10:30 p.m. and two homeowners inside responded by firing shots at the group, said Austin police Officer Bino Cadenas.
