I first read about this as a post on the Indiana gun owners forum by the father of the armed citizen. There’s now a brief news article on it as well.

Forum post with details:

Sidenote: I have noticed on this this forum (Texas) As well as the Indiana forum and many other self-defense related forms a curious pattern: first person accounts of self-defense encounters are written in one huge block of text, with no paragraphs whatsoever and many run-on and out of sequence sentences. It’s like the writer has to unburden himself of the details as fast as possible as they pop up in his mind.. A bit like taking a witness statement I suppose.

And this is why you don't talk to the police until you talk with and through your attorney
