I was looking forward to reading how the homeowner beat the attacker to death with a crow bar.

Um, facetious? Acevedo is no friend of the 2A, but the burglar is dead, so charges not usually filed against dead people.

They typically don't show up for their court date either!

:iagree: Actually was looking forward to reading about homeowner disarming the burglar and beating him with his own crowbar. On the other hand, disarming and beating with a crowbar is a lot of work. Easier to shoot the criminal, even if the criminal's grandfather later says it wasn't fair to shoot him because he was only armed with a crowbar.

Gee, is it "fair" to use a gun against a robber armed with a crowbar? LOL

Remember when all the liberals were upset at Trump because he was not calling for the death penalty for the Las Vegas mass murderer?

Lot of subtlety to this story.

Home owner arrived home and caught burglar attempting to break in. So he was not inside, may have only been on his property with a crow bar at night. So that would be trespass. My understanding not allowed to use deadly force.

When man was confronted, he attacked with a crow bar, then the homeowner was permitted to use deadly force to protect his life.

In many states ( think California, NJ, NY, CT ) homeowner would have been arrested.

Many people feel that victims should just be victims.
