SC: Vollie FFs with Concealed Handguns capture Gunman

At this link most of the information is in the video:

Some drunken fool showed up at a volunteer fire station which was occupied by firefighters and family members. Fool fired a gun into the air, and apparently into his own car. Two of the FFs who had concealed weapons permits and concealed handguns drew their guns and pointed them at the fool, who pointed his gun back. Eventually fool went to his car and put down his gun. The FFs secured the gun and the fool until police arrived. The FFs then treated the fool's face, which he apparently was beating on the ground as the FFs held him down.

Fool has been charged with two counts of Pointing and Presenting a Firearm, and released on $20K bond.

You know things are going to go south whenever a story begins with "Some drunken fool".

Surprised he wasn't also charged with discharging a firearm.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

I'm a little surprised he wasn't shot. He certainly gave ample justification for doing so.

Some editorial license in the synopsis. ;-) But I think someone who gets tanked, shoots up his own car, and threatens people fairly qualifies.

I googled this to see if there was any more information. Didn't find more, did find less. A number of news articles based on this leave out the part about the vollies having concealed weapons permits and gun.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out they knew the man and the situation, but were prepared.

If you go to the video, one of the FFs who was armed says they don't know who he was, and now that he's out on bond, they worry about another attack.

Might of been looking for suicide by cop, and was too drunk to realize he was at a firehouse instead of police station?
