UT: Female employee shoots female robber

Female Quiznos employee was trying to barricade herself in a back room and a couple of the robbers were trying to force the door. Employee fired around the door edge thru the gap, hitting the female robber and a window.

Female robber is in hospital, police looking for male accomplices.

Follow-up:

Court documents reveal that Cody Shane Durrant, 36, of Kearns, and Lacie Flora Dewart, 32, are married and Dewart is a former employee at Quiznos. Durrant was charged Tuesday [27 Jun 17] in 3rd District Court with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony. Dewart and Matthew Dean Forrest, 33, are listed as co-defendants.

Durrant and Forrest ran from the store when Durrant's wife was wounded, leaving her behind (such gallantry among thieves!). Forrest was also wounded in the shoulder

It turns out the pistol the robbers were waving around was an airsoft (another report says "BB gun").
