What might we expect in the coming days when the House and Senate once again take up HB 910 and SB 11? At times it is apparent that the legislators don't know their own procedures, which has indeed caused some confusion. What I would like to know from any of you who might have knowledge in the area, is what are the pathways or pitfalls for these bills to become law and how might they be overcome? What I am interested in are the obscure or seldom used rules, if any, that either the house or senate may employ in order to bring a bill up for a vote.

I pretty much expect a POO from the dems claiming that the conference committee overstepped by removing the Dutton/Huffines amendment. They will argue that the committee is constrained by rule to only address differing language and may not add or omit language that is identical in the two versions. I don't think it will be sustained in either chamber.

Essentially they removed the differing language and all language that was dependent upon the differing language, The Point of Order will be Overruled/Withdrawn.

I am certain there is other business that the Dems would like to bring to the table. Do the 2A bills first. If they choose to filibuster, they also shoot themselves in the foot, pun intended.

Well, now that HB 910 is on the governors desk I assume the antis will turn their full force on campus carry. Hopefully we can pull another out of the ashes.
