Called, polite, thankful for the intentions , support the amendment in theory, but suggested the timing was not now, pull the amendment so we do not kill the bill and what progress it can mean for the now.

I was of course asked my Name and Zip.. I can only assume as my Zip code shows them I'm not represented by the Sen., my request will mean little.

With all the police calling (per Whitmire's suggestion), and all the members of this forum calling (per Charles' veiled suggestion), I suspect, and hope that Hiffines gets the message to pull this unnecessary amendment. And to me, the operative word is "unnecessary."

Just called the number Charles posted(thank you!) and asked Sen. Huffines to withdraw his amendment to the bill, as time is of the essence and continued debate might possibly kill the bill. The lady who answered the phone was very polite and said she'd pass on my message.
