Re: SB11 & HB910 This week....
I thought I missed something. Went to get a drink and when I got back, they were leaving for the day. Why put things on your calendar if don't intend on doing it? That wouldn't fly at my work.

So the deregulation of hair braiding was more important than open carry?

I'll repeat this for those of you who missed it the first time: The Senate doesn't follow the regular order of business. HB 910 won't be heard until Friday.txglock21 wrote:I thought I missed something. Went to get a drink and when I got back, they were leaving for the day. EDITED TO ADD AN EXPLANATION: The Senate can't hear a bill until the second day the bill is on the Intent Calendar. A bill can't be placed on the Intent Calendar until the committee report is distributed. The committee report wasn't distributed until after the deadline to place a bill on the Intent Calendar for today, so HB 910 will be placed on the Intent Calendar for tomorrow. That means that Friday (the day after tomorrow) is the earliest the bill will be heard on the Senate floor.

Man talk about dysfunctional... It's a wonder they ever get anything done. However, that could be good as well. Less laws equals less messing with our lives. Just exasperating trying to get something good through!

Anyone know if bills on the intent calendar have to be called up in order, or can they be called in any order?CJD wrote:HB910 placed on intent calendar 1st time for tomorrow 5/21.

We had heard SB11 was going to be on the House floor within a couple days, I'm truly more concerned about it getting dogged
down than I 'am HB910 at this point. I feel like HB910 is setting pretty!
What's the word on SB11. I know where it stands in the process....any inside word or recent articles hinting about movement.

Calendars meets in ten minutes. We'll see if they do their part with 11 and 273.
