It's OK for me, but not for thee.
Has Estes been asking each Senator that during the debate?
No, he is not asking... that would take balls. There have been several folks who have volunteered that info while they are openly opposing OC.

What exactly does it mean to "table" the amendment? Vote on it later (which delays things)?

Too many folks fleeing the north and far west.... We can't indoctrinate them fast enough in the ways of Texas. Our position is being overrun. But we will hold ground. :txflag:

I'm hearing the claim that "someone will grab that gun" (if it's not concealed) .

I wonder, does anyone know what the stats are on open carry weapons being grabbed by others in open carry states?

It means it does not even get a vote. Basically voted "no" without even going to an actual vote.

It sounds like the no campus OC amendment might pass. If so, then if I heard the amendment to the amendment correct, it is better. Since the amendment says partially or completely open would be banned, I like the, "knowingly or intentionally" language to help protect the unintentional display.

I'd prefer no amendment but if it's going to pass, this does look like an improvement.

Agreed. If that is their intent... I will take it to get OC passed.

Sen. Whitmire has always been an arrogant ass, but he has voted with gun owners most of the time. Now he thinks he's so important that the law needs to be changed for his benefit.

The video feed just went dead in the middle of Whitmire's condescending rant on the floor of the Senate. This garbage!!!

Just as his rant was heading toward strident.

I was starting to think that maybe he had himself in mind.
