Just a simple majority is needed to pass it through committee, right?

If so, I'd say that one is in the bag as far as the committee goes. I'm not familiar with all of the members, but they would need just 1 more vote to gain the majority.

I would take credit for it, but I paraphrased it from an email I received from a podcast listener (who asked I not read their email on the podcast). This particular listener shares a lot of information from OCT's closed groups.

Essentially this bill is similar, or identical, to SB17. If the bills are both are passed by their respective houses and are identical when passed then they can skip going to the other house for approval and go to the governor so that he can do his things.

Agreed. When 2 bills from each branch are almost identical, there are no differing details that must be worked out and agreed upon in a conference committee, which could stall the bill out.
