He wants to know who is going to pay for the extra costs and manpower required of when they get a MWAG call. What additional costs are there? The operator should tell the caller that open carry is legal, and then no further response is required.

And of course Ellis made sure this anti got more than his two minutes...

When an assault is happening, legally carried firearms is EXACTLY what you want to introduce into the equation!

Typical "blood on the streets" and of all things, saying that a firearm being produced during a rape is a bad thing!!!

Is he really saying that it is preferable to help the victims after the assault rather than preventing them from becoming a victim?!?

That's exactly what it is TAM. Thank goodness his arguments are weak, IMO. He is saying good things about CHL's though.

He's making me cringe.
I've already thrown up in my mouth a little bit.

Exactly. How can he equate how good CHLs are, and then say (in the same breath) how dangerous the guns on campus would be in the CHL holders' hands?

Chief Art Acevedo:

Texas has a CHL holder that is second to none! Can't remember the exact words he said about CHL holders being their secret weapon.

But we don't trust CHL holders on campus.

:bigmouth

I cannot describe my rage at the statements he has made.

If Acevedo gets his way, and we want to open carry, we're gonna need open carry tiaras!

Acevedo doesn't even have a CHL! He doesn't even know if there's a range requirement. And he's testifying against CHL holders open carrying? Wow.
