Had an excellent conversation with Beiruty, all looks to be working well so this looks to be a go. The original post in this thread has been edited with the details at the bottom of it and I will update it as I can. If you are listed as unconfirmed please let me know if you can, will, can not, or will not participate. In the event we can't get everyone together I am still looking for alternates.

I would like to have participated but have another commitment.

Looking forward to listening to the podcast afterwards.

Great, I got you added to the list of confirmed participants. If you would please PM me your email address if you want to connect with Google Hangouts -or- your phone number if you want to be connected via phone.

I plan to do another one in the future so you would be more than welcome to participate in the future.

If it is live, I would need a day or two's notice but I would definitely be interested. If you would like to promote the forum community, I could use my handle but I have no qualms with putting my name on my comments.

When you say 'roundtable' do you mean a back and forth discussion or a 'thank you for your comments, next!' kinda thing?

I would love to participate, but I won't, because I have a hearing loss that sometimes makes it difficult to understand people over a phone or computer. I have done a few TV interviews in other fields, and one thing we always did was get copies of the questions a few days before the program, so we could have coherent answers prepared. It also included such things as time limits for responses. We even had notes in our laps sometimes. That increases the quality of the program content and minimizes all the "well, uh...." stuff which we were supposed to avoid.

RogueUSMC:
Free for all discussion to a point. When an issue is brought up each person gets a little time to share their position, once that is done the discussion begins. Once that topic has been covered to the panels satisfaction the next topic/issue is brought up and the method repeated.

This one most likely will not be live. As far as promoting the forum I do that often on the podcast, I feel I owe Charles and the admin/moderator staff at least that much, and it will be mentioned in the introduction when I explain the episode and how it came about. Unless all four guests confirm and say they all want it live streamed and/or call in it won't happen.

This one is intended to also be a test run for future repeats that may be live streamed (Audio only for now), but all of that depends on how well this one goes.

Ruark:
Because this is a podcast we have lower standards :biggrinjester: and I think this will be too unpredictable to have preplanned questions. Also I tend not to provide the questions when I do interviews, although I will provide a list of topics and a description of where I intend to take each of them.

I'm in if you'd like. I just need about two days to make sure I can be available. Thursday suffices. I have nothing going in the near future that can't be put off, I just think it is polite to give folks a little notice before I put them off...lol. And it will be entirely up to you, the producer of this thing, to decide if I am going to be RogueUSMC or Lee Whatley (though my discussion will be the same either way as I don't say anything under the perceived anonymity of the internet that I wouldn't say to someone else in the real world.)

Unfortunately I am at work until very late on Friday so that will not work, but maybe we can work things out so you can participate in a later round table. RogueUSMC is our first, and only alternate so I will bring him in for this one.

I'll be granddaughter-sitting then but might be able to listen/watch, depending on nap time. ;-)
I do have some topic suggestions, possibly for this podcast or a later one: Regarding introduced bills for unlicensed (aka Constitutional) carry....

What are the legal defense ramifications related to prosecution for an unlicensed defendant?
..and ramifications if open carry law does not require handgun to be HOLSTERED?

Not looking for 'legal' advice, just what are the risks involved in eliminating permits, licenses, etc.?

Thanks!

The original post has been updated with the current details.

K5GU: At this time I don't think we will stream this round table live. It will be available for download by itself or as a complete episode on Sunday (News and other stuff added to the front and back).

Just a quick not I will send everyone a pm with a reminder. Then I will send invitations to the hangout via email or dial out for phone participants just before 6:00.
