Good evening...
I've got a FNX 45 Tactical coming in (hopefully soon) and I was looking at getting a Trijicon RMR sight for it. I saw on the Trijicon site there are a few different models. Question is...which one?
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

What are you planning on doing with the pistol? I really like my
RM04, but it's sitting on top of an ACOG on my AR. For that, it makes for a great heads-up display, with no blind spots, for a CQB optic.
If you're going to be doing target shooting at 25 yards, that 7MOA dot might be too big.
I especially like that there are no batteries in the "dual illuminated" models like mine. It uses fiber optics to gather light, so it self adjusts the dot's brightness for any lighting conditions. It has an internal tritium vial for when there's not enough light. The dot is always bright enough for anything other that shooting straight into the sun.

The main reason why I decided to get the FNX 45 Tac is because it is going to be my side arm to my AR. I wanted a full sized hand gun for the job. Granted I will probably only use it within the 25 yard range. How does the dual illuminated model do in total darkness? back up battery? Or will it need some sort of light source?
Thanks!

Those answers are up above, in red. I have exactly zero batteries on anything attached to my AR.
